HDMI 2.0 Matrix Switch 2×2 - FeinTech

HDMI 2.0 Matrix Switch 2×2

The new VMS02201 is an HDMI 2.0 matrix switch 2×2 for distributing 2 HDMI sources (e.g. media player and game console) to 2 displays (e.g. television and video projector). You can also supply a sound system with it, because an HDMI audio extractor is built in. This makes the VMS02201 ideal for use in small home cinemas.

This "real" HDMI 2.0 matrix switch distributes the signal to both displays at the same time, similar to a splitter. Alternatively, you can watch device 1 on display A and at the same time device 2 on display B.

With EDID management

On the EDID selector switch, you can influence the HDMI handshake.

Copy: The HDMI sources only recognize display A and optimize the output for it. Display B gets the same video and audio format. So connect your main TV to output A.

Automobile: The HDMI source delivers the best possible format, which is supported by both displays. The "worse" display limits the output as a result, but both have picture and sound.

4k 5.1: It will show the HDMI source that 4k HDR and 5.1 audio is supported. Even if the displays don't support it. Select this setting if you connect a monitor or projector and a 5.1 sound system.

When changing the EDID mode, note that some HDMI sources require a reboot with power disconnect for a clean handshake!

HDMI-CEC is supported on input 1. So you can use the TV remote control to control HDMI source 1. If you connect 2 televisions, it is essential that the HDMI-CEC is switched off. You can switch the inputs and outputs on the switch or with the supplied infrared remote control.

Audio extractor for your sound system

You can connect a soundbar or an AV receiver via SPDIF. So you can enjoy Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 surround sound. If necessary, connect headphones or a stereo system to the 3.5 mm connection. Note that this is only possible with stereo sound - not with 5.1 or higher sound formats. All outputs get the same format. So you cannot hear 5.1 sound and stereo sound at the same time.

HDMI-ARC and 4K downscaling is not supported. If you need these features, choose the VMS04201 .
