The SW411 HDMI 2.1 Switch offers a powerful solution for connecting up to 4 players (such as gaming consoles, PCs or set-top boxes) to a display and an external sound system. With integrated HDMI audio extractor, the SW411 enables flexible audio output both from the selected player and from a television with HDMI-eARC/ARC port. Instead of a TV, a monitor or video projector can be used.
The HDMI audio output can be used to route audio signals to a sound device with HDMI input, while additional outputs for Toslink (optical audio) and AUX (analog stereo) are also available, allowing you to choose the optimal audio output for your setup.
The SW411 supports all common HDMI audio and video formats, including the latest gaming technologies such as 4K at 120Hz and VRR / ALLM. This ensures that the switch can be used for gaming with PC, Xbox or PlayStation as well as for films and streaming applications without restrictions. At the same time, an older HDMI audio device can be used without affecting the video signal.
Using EDID (Extended Display Identification Data), the SW411 ensures that the connected player automatically selects the best possible signal based on the capabilities of the display and the sound system. Alternatively, the audio mode can be adjusted manually using the EDID switch.
Available modes include:
In principle, the sound is output to all outputs at the same time, but the audio output via AUX (L/R) is only available for stereo signals . Stereo, Dolby Digital or DTS is possible on the Toslink output . All audio formats are available on the HDMI output. Please note: The sound system must have a normal HDMI input, such as an AV receiver or a soundbar with 2 or more HDMI ports. Operation on a soundbar with only one HDMI-ARC/eARC port, such as Sonos / Bose is NOT possible.
The SW411 also allows you to extract TV audio via the HDMI eARC/ARC port if your TV has this feature. The TV audio is then passed to the switch's audio outputs, allowing you to output audio from apps or other internal sources of the TV.
With the auto-switching function, the SW411 automatically switches to the last active player. This is particularly useful if you use different devices without having to constantly change the input manually. The auto-power function ensures that the switch and connected devices such as an AV receiver are automatically switched on and off as soon as the HDMI ARC/eARC port is activated.
It is conveniently controlled using the included remote control, which allows you to select the inputs and adjust the audio formats as required.
For best performance, we recommend a cable length of less than 2m for HDMI connections at 8K / 4K 120Hz and less than 5m at 4K 60Hz. For longer distances, HDMI fiber optic cables can be used to ensure stable signal transmission.
