FAQ

What is an HDMI matrix?

An HDMI matrix or matrix switch in a switch that not only has several signal inputs but also outputs. This distributes audio-video signals from an HDMI source to multiple screens. At the same time, you can switch between the players. 4 players and 2 displays are operated on an HDMI Matrix 4x2. The HDMI matrix is a combination of HDMI switch and HDMI splitter / distributor.

What does an HDMI Matrix Switch do?

An HDMI matrix switch offers users the option of using multiple players on multiple screens. The signal from a player can be delivered via several HDMI outputs at the same time in order to operate 2 displays. Or also for additional devices with HDMI inputs such as AV receivers and video capture cards. A common scenario is to control televisions, video projectors and sound systems with multiple feeds. A "real" matrix switch can use all connections independently, e.g. signals from player 1 are played on display A, B, C and player 2 at the same time on display D.

What to do if there are not enough HDMI connections?

If you just want to connect more players than you have HDMI inputs, use an HDMI switch. If you want to operate not just one TV, but 2 TVs or a video projector, it is better to choose an HDMI Matrix Switch . This means that all players such as computers and media players can be operated on 2 or more screens.
