What an audio ground isolator is used for
Filters in both directions
Prevents hum in audio between powered devices
- Galvanically isolates the masses in audio connections and thus removes hum and sound interference
- For all audio connections with a 3.5 mm jack plug, e.g. computer, TV, car radio, smartphone, active speakers, Bluetooth receiver, stereo system
- Eliminates ground loops without degrading sound
- Is simply inserted between the devices and can be placed inconspicuously (size only 6 x 2 x 2 cm)
- No power supply required, no additional connection cable required
The ground isolator is used as an audio filter and eliminates hum and sound interference. Such noise often occurs when connecting audio devices that are connected to the power supply with protective contact plugs, e.g. computers and active speakers, televisions and AV receivers, PCs and monitors. The cause is a compensating current that flows between the different potentials of the devices. The inductive transmission in the ATG00101 interrupts an electrical connection and prevents such disturbing currents ("50 Hz hum").
The ground isolation filter can also eliminate unwanted noise for audio connections in vehicles. There are sound problems in the car when music is played from the smartphone and it is being charged at the same time. The ATG00101 has real galvanic isolation. It is connected anywhere between the two devices using the included short audio cable (3.5 mm) jack. Due to the compact dimensions of 60 x 20 x 20 mm, the filter is easy to store.
