No more remembering or typing an insecure password, no more fear of prying eyes: With this fingerprint sensor you can easily upgrade your Windows system. A free USB 2.0 or 3.0 interface is sufficient for this. The fingerprint sensor recognizes your fingerprint and logs you into Windows in a second. For the initial setup, your fingerprints must be “learned”. A smart algorithm helps here, learning through frequent repetition and accelerating recognition. At least 5 different fingers can be trained - either all by you or by several people. The sensor surface enables 360° detection. So you don't have to place your finger at a certain angle. This is really suitable for everyday use. Once you get to know the function, you won't want to be without it.

Biometric login is already included in Windows 10 & 11 and is called Windows Hello. There is therefore no software installation necessary, everything is prepared in Windows 10 & 11. The drivers are also included in Windows or, if necessary, can be loaded automatically via an online connection via Windows Update.

If the fingerprint sensor is removed from the computer, the conventional password entry takes effect. When you plug it in again, fingerprint registration is immediately active again. No repeated setup is necessary. There is a setup video here .

Tip: When updating to a new version of Windows, the driver is sometimes only installed if you have ticked Fingerprint under "Windows Update - Optional Updates".

A chip from FocalTech has been used in the FPS00200 (black) from March 2023 to October 2024. The current version uses a new Microarray chip.

Der Sensor reagiert oft nicht

Der Sensor reagiert oft nicht und ist nicht immer an.

Bitte stelle sicher, dass im Gerätemanager unter Energieverwaltung die Option 'Computer kann das Gerät ausschalten, um Energie zu sparen' deaktiviert ist. Sollte es weiter Probleme bei der Erkennung geben, reinige die Sensorfläche mit einem trockenen Tuch und führe das Anlernen der Fingerabdrücke noch ein weiteres Mal durch.

No arm64 support

It does not work with arm64 notebooks due to lack of the Windows driver.

Correct, there is no driver for Windows on ARM (as described). Windows Hello is deeply integrated in the Windows system security. The drivers can't be ported. A new product development and chipset is required to support WoA.

Funktioniert einwandfrei, vor allem schnell

Der Sensor funktioniert sehr gut, vor allem ist er schnell, deutlich schneller als mein bisheriger Sensor. Die Auflagefläche für den Finger ist groß. Der Treiber war auf meinem Windows-11-Rechner nicht vorhanden bzw. nicht der richtige, aber mit der Anleitung auf der Hilfeseite war es sehr einfach, den richtigen Treiber zu installieren. Eine wirklich gute Unterstützung zu diesem Produkt. Die Lieferung kam sehr schnell, praktisch am nächsten Tag. Aus meiner Sicht alles bestens!

Super Fingerprint-Reader, leider nicht für neue ARM-Notebooks

Sehr gut und schnell funktionierender Fingerprint-Reader. Funktioniert(e) einwandfrei mit Windows Hello auf Win10/11. Leider kein Support für die neuen ARM-Prozessor-basierten Geräte wie z.B. Microsoft Surface mit Snapdragon-Prozessor da kein Treiber für dieser vorhanden.
