Use your Dolby Atmos soundbar with any TV and projector

With the VAX04101 you can play the sound from external HDMI sources via a soundbar with an eARC connection. The sound then no longer depends on which audio formats the television or video projector supports. You can also play Dolby Atmos sound via a connected streaming box (e.g. Apple TV 4K, Xbox One X, Fire TV, Shield). The switch allows you to connect 3 HDMI sources such as media players, satellite receivers and PCs.

Suitable for soundbars with HDMI eARC connection

This eARC Pass Switch is compatible with soundbars with an HDMI eARC connection, such as Sonos Arc, Sonos Beam 2, Bose 900 and many more. It is best to set the audio mode to 7.1 to play the highest audio format such as Dolby Atmos. 9.1 soundbars are also optimally supplied with a 7.1 signal.

Switch Control

You can use the included infrared remote control to switch signal sources. You can also make all settings on the switch itself. Automatic switching between different players is only possible if they also switch off their HDMI output when switching off. Unfortunately, common streaming boxes and game consoles do not do this in standby mode. Therefore, for example, you cannot switch automatically with an Apple TV or Fire TV. The switchover is then carried out by pressing a button on the remote control or on the device.

Transmits the internal TV sound to the soundbar

If you have connected a television with an HDMI-ARC port, you can also output the internal TV sound via the soundbar. To do this, switch the switch to input 1. This way you can listen to TV programs (SAT TV / cable TV) or smart TV apps via the soundbar. Please note, however, that this only supports sound formats that your TV supports.

Connect 3 HDMI media players to your eARC soundbar - The VAX04101 allows you to play audio from external HDMI sources through a soundbar with an eARC connection. The sound then no longer depends on which audio formats the TV or video projector supports. You can also play Dolby Atmos sound via a connected streaming box (for example, Apple TV 4K, Xbox One X, Fire TV, Shield). The switch enables the connection of 3 HDMI sources such as media player, satellite receiver and PC. Switching is done automatically to the last activated device, or by button on the front panel, or by infrared remote control. If a TV with HDMI-ARC connection is connected, the internal TV sound can also be played back via the soundbar. So also the sound from cable TV, satellite TV and Smart TV apps comes through the soundbar.

Select the Audio EDID on the VAX04101 to set the maximum sound format to 7.1, 5.1 or 2.0 or to negotiate it automatically. If your soundbar has HDMI inputs, HDMI sources connected to it can also be played back. In video, the switch supports Ultra HD resolutions up to 2160p at 60Hz, 3D, HDR formats such as HLG-HDR, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. All sound formats (including Dolby TrueHD with Dolby Atmos, Dolby MAT and LPCM 5.1/7.1) can be transported via eARC.

Der Switch funktioniert sehr gut für ältere TVs mit nur Arc-Hdmi Anschluss. Einrichtung war einfach. Bedienung ist auch übersichtlich. Einwandfreies Gerät, das ich empfehlen kann.

Endlich Xbox Sound mit Beamer über Apple TV und HomePods

Danke für dieses Produkt! Der eARC Pass Switch tut genau das was er soll. Bei mir im Setup mit Beamer wird der Ton von einem Stereopaar HomePods via Apple TV wiedergegeben. Eine Quelle ist der Apple TV selbst und die andere Quelle eine Xbox. Theoretisch ließen sich jetzt noch zwei weitere Quellen anschließen.
Das umschalten funktioniert einfach per Fernbedienung mit nur einem Tastendruck.
Das Gerät selbst wirkt sehr hochwertig und ist durch sein metallenes Gehäuse unerwartet schwer und wertig. Die mitgelieferten Gummifüße vermeiden eventuelle Kratzer.
Alles in allem ein super Produkt, das genau das tut, was es soll!

Perfektes Gerät

Hatte zuvor Probleme mit meinem Philips 65oled865 mit (nur) ARC und der Bose Soundbar 900 mit eARC, Sub und Rears. Ton Verzögerung war extrem und nur mit Stereo PCM 2.0 geniessbar. Selbst mit einem neuen Blu Ray Player kam der Ton über HDMI via TV zur Soundbar verzögert. Der Philips TV mit Top Bild aber generellen Ton-Ausgabe Problemen über HDMI und auch Optical.
Dank dem VAX04101 sind nun alle Probleme weg… Ton und Bild von allen Quellen absolut synchron und zudem kann ich jetzt auch die neusten Tonausgabe-Formate wie Dolby Atmos usw. geniessen, bzw. alle Vorzüge der Bose 900 ausschöpfen… bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt. Vielen Dank!

•Jetzt zu dem Switch hdmi eArc Pass ,er ist ein echter Problemlöser bei Soundbars u.HDMI Quellen ,Streaming Diensten –über Apple TV 4 k.Box Blueray Player – Fire Tv Stick 4 k ,usw. Für Ton u. Bild einfach top .! mit der richtige Digitale Eingabe bei der Switch 7.1 eArc To– Sound

Ich benutze den Switch m.der Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar,auch bei der Bose 900 Soundbar wird der Sound ohne Probleme Ausgegeben,,,Habe alles getestet und ausprobiert ohne jegendliche Einschränkungen,bei BILD u. Ton Übertragungen .

•Was ich sehr gut finde bei Beamer und ältere Fernsehe Geräte wo kein hdmi Arc– haben wird eArc mit der Umschaltung umgewandelt
und unterstützt .Ich Benutze hochwertige hdmi Kabel Supra AOC 2.1 – für Bild zum Beamer ,für die Apple TV
Das Audioquest Pearl 48 für die Zuspiel Quelle.

.Ich empfehle den Switch weiter klasse Produkt.! Hat alle meine Probleme gelöst .

Great product, stellar support

I have a peculiar setup, with a pc and Fire TV as inputs and a 4k Eizo monitor as output, connected with display port and HDMI. Sonos system as audio. (arc/era 300/sub and now Arc Ultra)

In Windows 11, the two monitor connections are seen as two different monitors, so I mirrored them in display options.

I use the two connections because my monitor is 4.4.4 10-bit through the display port and 4.2.2 10bit through HDMI. For photo retouching like I do, chroma subsampling is not good. But I need HDMI for PC audio.

The VAX04101 worked straight out of the box even with a not perfect HDMI cable to the monitor (as I discovered later) but I had to use 5.1 EDID, that granted me Atmos on Fire TV and PCM multichannel 5.1 on PC. It was fine I thought I did not need Atmos on Pc.

At some point in time, I contacted customer support and explained my situation, and even after all their suggestions, I was stuck where I was before. Then, they sent me a firmware upgrade. Before updating, I tried a different full HD monitor, and then I could hear sound from the PC with EDID 7.1, but still no Dolby atmos. The Dolby access app setup wouldn't work. I tried to change the HDMI monitor cable, nothing new on the audio side, but I had 4k video on my primary monitor with EDID 7.1 on the Vax. (before, it worked only on 5.1). Ultimately, I did the firmware upgrade, and everything worked out well. I have Dolby atmos on both PC and Fire TV.

As you can see, my setup is very complex to troubleshoot, including the exotic monitor, PC, and all its software. But Henrik from support helped me in every step with patience, kindness and fast response.

I couldn't be happier with the product and the experience with Feintech. This VAX04101 is a lot cheaper than the only worthy alternative, Fury Arcana and a switch, which will cost double the price.
The people at Feintech are great, and there is nothing more to add.
