The VMR00200 is an HDMI 2.0 repeater for the discerning. This new signal repeater is based on the successful VMR00100, but is housed in a robust metal casing. Normally, the repeater gets the necessary power from the HDMI source device. It can happen that an HDMI device cannot supply enough current. Or the voltage drops in the HDMI cable. The repeater then receives too little power. This can occur especially if the cable is long. In such cases, connect any USB power source (e.g. device socket or USB power supply) to the VMR00200 repeater. The DC cable is included in the delivery.
This repeater amplifies HDMI signals to enable long cable runs. The signal is amplified up to the highest data rate of 18 Gbit/s (HDMI 2.0b specification). This means that even at a resolution of 4K at 60 Hz and the highest colour space YUV 4:4:4 or HDR, a maximum range of 25 m can be achieved. At lower data rates, a much higher range is possible. All common SD/HD/4K image resolutions are supported, e.g. 480i/576i/480P/576P/720P/1080i/1080P/2160P and 3D video. Supports HDR, BT.2020, Deep Colour 36-bit. Same for audio: DD+ /DTS-HD/ Dolby TrueHD/ LPCM5.1/7.1 /AC3/DTS/DSD/ Atmos. HDMI CEC control signals are passed through. The repeater is also compatible with HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 copy protection. This signal repeater is used for presentations, training, gaming and home cinema.
Please ensure that the HDMI cables are of good quality. For the greatest range, use HDMI high-speed cables with AWG24 copper conductors, for example. HDMI cables with a small diameter reduce the range considerably.
