World first for flexible audio switching

The AX421 is the first device of its kind that can switch a TV's ARC/eARC audio output between two different sound systems. Whether you want to switch between a soundbar and a headphone base or between an AV receiver and a D/A converter, the AX421 keeps your setup flexible and convenient.

Support for HDMI-ARC and HDMI-eARC

The AX421 supports both HDMI-ARC and HDMI-eARC, allowing you to use all modern audio formats – from simple stereo to Dolby Atmos. HDMI-eARC supports all audio formats, while HDMI-ARC supports only stereo, Dolby Digital, and DTS.

Important: Connect your preferred audio device to the AX421's HDMI 1 port. If an eARC-enabled device is connected there and recognized by the TV first, the switch will automatically use eARC.

If the second device only supports ARC, higher audio formats may not play correctly. To avoid this, connect the ARC device to HDMI 1 and restart (briefly disconnect the power) after connecting so the TV can re-detect the devices.

Automatic audio switching between two sound devices

The switch automatically switches between the connected sound systems depending on which device is turned on – provided the AX421 is powered via the optional USB port. This allows you to easily switch between a soundbar and an AV receiver, for example, without having to unplug cables.

Flexible manual control

In addition to automatic switching, you can also deactivate the function and manually switch between the two sound devices to have full control over your setup.

Automatic on/off

With the optional USB power supply, the Switch synchronizes the TV's power on and off with the last active sound system. This way, the TV and sound system turn on simultaneously. Without USB power, the sound system must be turned on separately.

Important note: Some sound systems also turn off the TV when turned off. This behavior can be adjusted on many devices using settings such as HDMI Link or HDMI Control.

The device works fine, but there is problem I encounter after I turn OFFand turn ON the TV. The sound ouput has puases every 2-3min, I have to presee the button to swithch between devices than it works fine.

The AX421 creates a function for which a television was not designed. We have therefore carried out extensive compatibility tests with televisions, soundbars, AVRs and headphone amplifiers over a period of months. Automatic switching works in most cases, but unfortunately not in all. This is something we cannot guarantee and in such cases switching has to be done manually. It might help other users if you name the connected devices.

Ich habe lange nach einem eARC Switch gesucht, um zwischen Soundbar und AV-Receiver umschalten zu können, bis ich dann hier fündig wurde. Das Gerät macht einen soliden Eindruck und es funktioniert einfach und problemlos.

AV- Anlage und Soundbar lassen sich endlich abwechselnd verwenden

Das Gerät macht das, wie es Beschrieben wurde. Wenn das automatische Umschalten aktiv ist, wird jedoch, auch nur beim Musikhören, auf den AV Receiver (Yamaha) umgeschaltet. Diese Stellung ist dann beim späteren Fernsehen häufig noch aktiv.
Ich fände es besser, wenn alle Anschlüsse auf einer Seite wären und die Anzeigenleuchten und der Umschalter auf der gegenüberliegenden. So mit den Kabeln auf beiden Seiten macht es einen recht provisorischen Eindruck. Da das Umschalten auch nicht immer automatisiert klappt, muss der Umschalter leider zugänglich und somit sichtbar bleiben.
Ich fände es besser, wenn man den Umschaltmodus auch mit einer Kontrollleuchte angezeigt bekäme.

Die Idee ist super,leider hat es mit meinen Geräten DANON-SONY nicht richtig funktioniert.Nach Absprache mit Henrik und einigen Versuchen habe ich es leider wieder zurück geschickt.

Ergänzende Information für andere Nutzer: Sony HT-XF9000 Soundbar und Denon AVC-X6700H werden wechselseitig an einem Sony-Fernseher betrieben. Der TV erkennt nach dem Ausschalten und Wiederanschalten die Soundbar nicht mehr, und die muss dann jedes Mal neu gestartet werden. In den meisten Fällen funktioniert es mit dem AX421 automatisch, aber leider nicht in allen Gerätekombinationen.

Nach einigen Fehlkäufen bin ich auf diesen Artikel gestoßen.
Leider war er zunächst nicht lieferbar aber nach kurzer Zeit wieder verfügbar.
Direkt bestellt, schnell geliefert, angeschlossen und es funktioniert alles wie gewünscht. Sogar mit Auto-Umschaltung sodass der Knopf am Gerät selbst nicht notwendig wäre aber nice to have.

Nicht günstig aber da es keine Alternativen gibt noch im Rahmen.

Ich nutze den Switch um ein Smart-TV mit einer Soundbar oder mit den Teufel Ultimas 40 aktiv zu betreiben.

Ein Stück feine Technik

Ich betreibe an meinem TV eine Soundbar und einen Surround Receiver, wobei der CD–Player am Receiver und der Blu-ray Player an einem MDI des TV angeschlossen ist. Der AX 421, am ARC des TV und dann am Receiver einerseits und an der Soundbar andererseits angeschlossen, erledigt das Umschalten des Sounds zu den Audiogeräten. Einfach. Schnell. Meist sogar automatisch. Ich bin glücklich. Vielen Dank für dieses Stück feine Technik!!

Hallo, das Produkt funktioniert hervorragend und macht das was es tun soll. Als Verbesserung würde ich es allerdings ansehen, wenn die 3 HDMI Anschlüsse alle auf der Rückseite wären und auf der Vorderseite lediglich der Umschalter zwischen der Soundbar und AV Receiver.

Ich möchte die Soundbar und den Receiver über mein Samsung TV mit einem eARC Anschluss. Geht das?

Ja, das funktioniert mit dem AX421. Der Ton kann abwechselnd über den AV-Receiver ODER die Soundbar ausgegeben werden. Bitte beachte, dass dann kein Videosignal mehr vom AVR zum Fernseher übertragen werden kann - der AX421 leitet kein Video durch.

Bonjour.
Je souhaiterai un renseignement sur le module
AX 421.
Je possède une installation home cinema 5.1.4 Atmos
Appareils et Branchement suivant.
- Décodeur TV Orange 4k----> hdmi -----> entrée amplificateur Denon.
- Sortie Earc Denon -----> hdmi -----> entrée TV Earc.
Je souhaiterai maintenant rajouter une barre de son Atmos afin d'améliorer le son de ma TV sans être obligé d'allumer l'amplificateur Denon que je réserve juste pour les séances cinema.
Notez que le but n'est donc pas de faire fonctionner les 2 systèmes audio en même temps, mais de pouvoir basculer facilement entre le son Dolby Atmos / de l' amplificateur OU la barre de son.
Le boitier AX 421 me permetrait-il ceci ?

L'AX421 permet de basculer entre l'amplificateur AV Denon et la barre de son. Cependant, aucun signal vidéo ne peut être transmis depuis l'amplificateur AV Denon. Le décodeur doit être connecté directement au téléviseur. Le menu de l'amplificateur AV n'est pas visible.

Also z. Bsp. Soundbar an HDMI_1 und Kopfhörer an HDMI_2 und aus beiden kommt zeitgleich ein Audio-Signal ?!

Nein, es kann und darf bei HDMI nur einziges Soundsystem verwendet werden, welches ARC verwendet. Das ist bei HDMI so festgelegt und weder Fernseher noch Soundbar kommen damit zurecht, falls man es irgendwie ändern würde. Um einen Kopfhörer (mit Klinkenanschluss) und eine Soundbar zugleich zu verwenden, haben wir unseren Adapter VMA00201 entwickelt.
