The AX421 now gives you the freedom to connect two HDMI sound systems (e.g. soundbars or AV receivers) to your TV and switch between them effortlessly. Switch between two sound systems without unplugging

With the AX421 you can effortlessly use two sound devices on one TV. This gives you the flexibility to play TV sound via a soundbar or headphone amplifier without having to constantly unplug cables. Ideal for simple, convenient use in your home cinema.

Maximum compatibility for every setup

For the AX421 to support all eARC audio formats such as LPCM and Dolby Atmos, both your TV and sound system must be HDMI-eARC compatible. However, the switch also allows simultaneous operation of HDMI-ARC and HDMI-eARC sound systems, giving you the flexibility to switch between different devices and customize your audio experience to your liking.

Support for all common audio formats

The AX421 supports all common audio formats. These include high-resolution formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. In order for the AX421 to support all eARC audio formats, both your display and sound system must support HDMI-eARC. If you use a display or sound system with HDMI-ARC, only the audio formats that can also be transmitted via HDMI-ARC are supported. Automatic switching for a seamless audio experience

The AX421 gives you the option to switch between two sound devices without having to manually unplug them. The switch automatically detects which of the two connected audio devices you are currently using and switches to the last activated device.

As soon as you turn on the TV, the corresponding sound system is automatically activated. So if you turn on the TV with the TV remote control, the corresponding sound system will also turn on - provided the AX421 is powered via USB.

If you turn on the second sound device, the Switch will automatically switch to it as well. If you turn off the active sound device, the Switch will go back to the active device. If you want to disable this automatic switching, you can easily turn the function on or off by pressing the Switch button for a long time.

Automatic on and off for more convenience

When the AX421 is powered via USB, it automatically switches on the connected sound system as soon as you turn on the TV. You no longer have to activate your sound device manually - the switch does it for you and ensures a seamless audio experience.

The switch also works perfectly without a USB power source. In this case, however, you have to switch on your sound system manually. The AX421 recognizes the last activated sound device and automatically switches to it as soon as it is switched on. This allows you to easily switch between devices without having to press any extra buttons.

HDMI-CEC volume control

Thanks to the HDMI-CEC function, you can easily control the volume of your soundbar using your TV remote control - without any additional devices or apps. This function not only saves you time but also ensures a simple and convenient user experience.

Easy installation

The AX421 is compatible with all common HDMI-ARC and HDMI-eARC compatible devices such as modern soundbars, AV receivers, TVs and projectors. Installation is extremely simple: simply connect the AX421 to your two sound systems and to your TV or projector.

Optionally, you can power the switch via USB to enable automatic switching on and off of the devices. We recommend powering it via the USB port on your TV. A USB power adapter is not included in the delivery.

Please note: The AX421 does not pass through video signals , so external players connected via an AV receiver cannot provide a picture. For the best picture signal, you should connect players directly to the TV.
