This HDMI audio extractor sends the sound of an HDMI signal to a sound device via a jack connection and/or via the optical digital output SPDIF/Toslink. Both audio outputs receive the sound at the same time. The HDMI signal is passed through to the connected display without any loss. This receives both picture and sound.
Resolutions up to 8K 60Hz HDR and 4K 120Hz are supported (up to 48 Gbps data rate). The AX210 is backwards compatible with all lower resolutions and guarantees lossless video and audio transmission. It also offers HDMI 2.1 gaming features such as Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) to reduce image stuttering and ensure smooth gameplay, as well as Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which automatically minimizes latency to improve response time in games.
The ARC (Audio Return Channel) is supported. This means that the internal sound of a connected TV with HDMI-ARC/eARC port can also be output via the audio outputs of the AX210. To do this, activate ARC. A monitor or projector without ARC function can also be connected. ARC can then remain deactivated.
With the EDID mode switch you can specify which audio and video formats should be supported. It is not possible to output different audio formats at the same time.

The volume of the audio signal usually has to be regulated on the sound system. Some players such as Apple TV or Fire TV also offer control of the sound system.
Long press (5 seconds) of the ARC button turns the extractor on or off.
