HDMI splitter for signal distribution from 2 players to 4 end devices such as TV, monitor, video projector, AV receiver
HDMI Matrix Switch 2x4 – Flexible and versatile
With this HDMI matrix switch, you can connect two HDMI sources to up to four devices such as TVs, monitors, projectors, or AV receivers and distribute the signal as desired. Thanks to the integrated HDMI audio extractor, you can output the audio either from the source or from your TV's Audio Return Channel (ARC) via SPDIF Toslink (stereo, DTS, Dolby Digital 5.1) or 3.5 mm jack (stereo only, not with ARC).
Maximum flexibility in signal distribution
You can assign the HDMI inputs and outputs as you wish. For example, you can distribute two HDMI sources to two displays each, or output one source to four displays simultaneously. All outputs can be individually turned on and off – conveniently using the remote control or buttons on the device.
Ultra HD and HDR support
The switch supports Ultra HD 4K at 60Hz, YUV 4:4:4, and RGB (up to 18 Gbps), as well as HDR (including Dolby Vision), so you can enjoy even the most demanding video formats in the best possible quality. Furthermore, all common audio formats are supported via HDMI, depending on the configured audio EDID (Pass, 2.0 Stereo, or 5.1 Surround). Dolby Atmos and HD audio formats are available in Pass mode if the source and devices support them.
Easy handling of the audio output
For audio output, you can output the sound via the two 3.5 mm jack sockets (for stereo) or the two SPDIF Toslink outputs (max. 5.1 surround). The switch adapts to the audio formats: In Pass mode, the audio formats are passed through without conversion, while you can switch the audio EDID to 2.0 or 5.1 as needed. If ARC is active, the analog audio output remains muted, and the audio is output via the Toslink output.
Complete control over your setups
The HDMI matrix switch not only replaces a 4-way splitter, but also an audio extractor and a 2-way HDMI switch. This allows you to flexibly and efficiently connect any source to the desired displays and audio outputs. Ideal for home theaters, presentations, or complex multimedia setups.
Important NOTE:
Note that many players adhere to HDMI specifications and only output audio formats supported by the connected HDMI sinks. For example, Apple TV only outputs 4K Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos audio if all connected HDMI sinks support it. If you connect a projector, for example, HD audio may not be available. In this case, you can manually set the audio format. The VMS02400's EDID management allows you to control the sound output and limit it to stereo or 5.1, depending on your devices and needs. Higher audio formats are only possible if all detected HDMI sinks support them. To do this, select PASS mode. HDMI-CEC is not passed through.
