This switch allows you to use two players on one TV or monitor. This allows you to alternate between two game consoles, such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X, without any loss of quality if your display only has one free HDMI port. You can switch between the two inputs by pressing the button on the front or using the included remote control. Automatic switching between the HDMI inputs is possible with most – but not all – devices. The device will automatically switch to the last connected device. Auto-switching can be disabled.
HDMI 2.1 Audio Extractor
The SW212 features an HDMI 2.1 audio extractor. This allows audio to be transmitted not only via HDMI, but also via optical SPDIF (Toslink) and analog (3.5 mm jack) to a sound system or headphones/headset. Please note that only stereo, DTS, and Dolby Digital are supported via Toslink. Only stereo audio is output via the analog output. The same audio format is output everywhere ; the switch does not convert the formats. Therefore, select a maximum of 5.1 bitstream audio on your game console if you want to use the Toslink connection, or stereo for the jack output. You can set the formats either on your players or use the SW212's EDID management. Please note that audio formats such as PCM 5.1 or Dolby Atmos are only passed through the switch via HDMI and not output via SPDIF/jack. (No sound system could handle these via such inputs.)
The internal TV sound of a TV with HDMI-ARC or eARC cannot be extracted with this.
HDMI 2.1 Features
The switch supports HDMI 2.1 features VRR, ALLM, QFT, and FVA for gaming, as well as video resolutions up to 4K 120Hz 12-bit or 8K 60Hz 12-bit. The maximum data rate is 48 Gbps. Also supported are:
- SDR, HDR, HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision
- HDCP 2.3 copy protection (backward compatible)
- Passthrough for all audio formats, including LPCM 2.0–7.1, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD / Atmos, Dolby MAT, DTS, DTS-HD, DSD.
- HDMI-CEC is passed through.
HDMI cable
Note that the cable length becomes more critical the higher the data rate of the AV signal. For 8K resolution or 4K 120Hz, we recommend a maximum cable length of 2 m for both the inputs and outputs. If you need longer distances, you can use special HDMI cables with fiber optic data lines or active cables. For 4K video, the cables can be up to 6 m long, and for Full HD, up to 15 m.
Scope of delivery
The scope of delivery includes an infrared remote control for switching on/off and switching and a power supply with Euro plug .

Ich habe eine PS5, eine Switch, eine Soundbar und einen Monitor. PS5 und Monitor unterstützen beide voll HDMI 2.1. Was ich gesucht habe ist eine HDMI Switch mit dem ich die Switch und die PS5 beide am Monitor und an der Soundbar betreiben kann. Da die Soundbar kein HDMI 2.1 unterstützt war es nicht möglich das Signal hier Verlustfrei durchzuschleusen. Dank dem Switch mit Audioextraktor ist genau das möglich.
Die Installation war einfach, die Bedienung läuft automatisch. Das Gerät wirkt qualitativ sehr hochwertig und ich kann jetzt endlich verlustfrei PS5 spiele und den Sound über die Soundbar genießen.

I took it course I have problem with my stereo about the 5.1 compilation via direct connection to the tv Google chromecast and ps5 is the two devices I have and is working properly only in the ps5 after some research Google chrome cast is casting only pcm I can find how to solve but I’m fine with the resoult
We are pleased to hear that the product is working well. Please note that some players cannot convert the native streaming format DD+ to standard Dolby Digital. Therefore such players are stuck to PCM stereo with Toslink. Among these players are Google TV / Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV Stick HD, Fire TV Stick 4K Select, Fire TV 4K Plus.

Fantastic product, very nicely built. Make sure you read the dip switch settings in the manual to set it up according to your preferences. In my case this is used to display my HDMI devices on a monitor with no built in audio, and a separate set of speakers. Works really well.

ich möchte an einen alten Philips Plasma TV 9966-12 (er kann 720p und 1080i) über DVI (AdapterHDMI auf DVI habe ich) und RCA Eingang zwei Geräte anschliessen. Einen Technisat HD Tuner (HDMI-Ausgang) und einen Amazon Firestick (HDMI-Ausgang). Wenn möglich auch noch einen dritten (DVD Player mit HDMI-Ausgang). Welches Feintech Gerät benötige ich?
Das Problem bei DVI ist, dass manche Zuspieler keinen Ton übertragen, wenn ein HDMI auf DVI Adapter verwendet wird. Es könnte mit dem VSW04202 (für bis zu 4 Zuspieler) oder dem SW212 (für 2 Zuspieler) funktionieren.

Wird beim Wechseln des aktiven Inputs weiterhin ein Monitor der Grafik emuliert oder bekommen angeschlossene PC Systeme mit, wenn ihr Input nicht mehr aktiv ist? Gibt es andere HDMI (Matrix-)Switche die das beherrschen?
Es wird kein Monitor emuliert, aber die EDID-Daten blieben auch bei einem ausgeschalteten Monitor erhalten. Bitte wende dich an unseren Support und beschreibe deine gewünschte Anwendung näher.
I just need to check. Does this device pass through all audio formats (as well as 4K video) unchanged via HDMI 2.1 while adding another multi-channel converted to stereo signal via optical or 3.5mm jack at the same time without lag? Thank you.
This device can pass through all audio formats unchanged. But not all audio formats can be extracted. Only if the player outputs a PCM stereo signal it is extracted via the 3.5 mm jack. If the player outputs a multichannel audio signal, the analog audio port is mute. An HDMI audio extractor doesn't convert or decode audio formats.
