This HDMI 2.0 HD Audio Extractor additionally routes the sound of an HDMI signal to an AV receiver, sound bar or active speakers. The HDMI signal is passed through without loss. Resolutions up to Ultra-HD/ 4K HDR are supported (up to 18 GBit/s data rate). The VAX01203 is downward compatible with all low resolutions. Supports HDMI CEC between TV and source (not to sound system).
The power supply is provided by the included power supply unit. Alternatively, the extractor can be powered from a USB socket (current consumption 180 mA). An adapter cable is supplied. The Extractor switches on and off automatically together with the respective device.
With the audio mode switch, you can determine which sound format the HDMI source outputs if several sound formats are possible. This means that the HDMI source can also deliver 7.1 sound to a video projector, for example. The switch has 3 settings:

HDMI only audio output:
A downscaler is automatically activated on this output if the external player outputs an Ultra HD signal with 2160p. The original 2160p 50/60Hz signal is scaled to 1080p 50/60Hz. This makes the signal compatible with an older AV receiver with HDMI 1.3 interface. The signal at the HDMI TV output is not affected. An input signal with 1440p is not scaled. This 1440p format cannot be processed by all AV receivers.Scope of delivery: HD Audio Extractor, power supply unit, USB to DC connection cable.

Note: The sound system must have a real HDMI input for operation. Operation with HDMI-ARC is not possible. Not suitable for Sonos or Bose Soundbar.

Habe erst ein vergleichbares Produkt vom großen T bestellt und dann aus Verzweiflung bei FeinTech bestellt. Wirklich Plug & Play in Zusammenspiel mit Blackmagic Equipment. Genau was ich gesucht habe zu einem fairen Preis. Ich merk mir die Firma für zukünftige Medieninstallationen!

Hallo Markus,
vielen Dank für die Nachfrage. Also, funktionieren tut das Produkt, das ist erst einmal am wichtigsten. Jetzt muss ich etwas ausholen. Ich benutze den Audio Extractor, um von meinem Digitus Verteiler, in dem steckt der Google Chromecast Stick, das Signal einmal an den Beamer zu senden und den Tonausgang an meine Soundbar zu schicken. Die Beamer haben ja alle nur den 3,5mm Klinkenausgang. Mit meiner Teufel Cinebar One hat es nicht geklappt, hat nur einen HDMI Eingang mit ARC. Mit meiner Bose SOundtouch 300, die hat 2 HDMI Eingänge, funktioniert es. Ich bin nur noch nicht dahinter gekommen, in welcher Reihenfolge ich die Geräte starten muss. Wenn Beamer, Digitus und der Audioextractor an sind, ich starte per Tablet die Streaming App, ist das Bild vorhanden. Schalte ich jetzt die Soundbar dazu, geht jedes mal das Bildsignal weg. Ich muss dann die Soundbar nochmal ausmachen und wieder an. Ist das normal? Heute Aben probiere ich einmal eine andere Reihenfolge. Erst die Soundbar an und dann alles andere. Mal sehen was passiert.

Bitte beachte, dass nur Soundgeräte mit normalen HDMI-Eingängen an dem HDMI-Audio-Ausgang vom VAX01203 betrieben werden können. Der Betrieb an einem HDMI-Ausgang mit ARC der Soundbar funktioniert nicht (weil Ausgang zu Ausgang verbunden wäre). Du kannst also keine HDMI-ARC/eARC Soundbar am VAX01203 verwenden. Das ginge aber mit dem AX310.
Der Chromecast ist immer an und für den Betrieb direkt am TV/Projektor vorgesehen. Unterbricht man diese Verbindung (was scheinbar beim Chromecast nicht vorgesehen ist), muss neu gestartet werden. Mit einem anderen Zuspieler sollte es so ein Problem nicht geben.

Habe ich nach Beratung von FT gekauft, tut genau das, was das Gerät soll, angenehm klein, leichte Installation. Klare Empfehlung. Ein an/aus-Schalter wäre gut.
